SR. ACCOUNT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing client service support to assigned accounts to foster positive client relations, account retention and business development. Represent Consultant and Account Executive as necessary by providing direct support to clients.

Summary of essential job functions/responsibilities

  • Maintain positive relationships with designated accounts through effective daily/weekly communication both oral and written
  • Provide both on-site and off-site customer service which may include interpreting plan design, researching and resolving phone and written inquiries, resolving claims, benefits and enrollment issues
  • Complete and keep up-to-date customer service call reports, documenting customer service notes and action items into CRM system as required
  • Identifies potential client issues and reports them as appropriate to team
  • Assists with the implementation of new clients to include: preparing material for open enrollments meetings; obtaining and completing carrier/vendor paperwork as needed to prepare for client signature
  • Update CRM system for assigned clients as needed at implementation and renewalCreates and maintains client information files with appropriate documentation
  • Assists with the completion of the tasks included on the New Business and Renewal checklists in accordance with established Best Practices
  • Assists with education, coordination and implementation of new services, carriers and products
  • Establishes and maintains mutual communication with the team to stay abreast with client activities
  • Assists with the creation of client meeting agendas and meeting summaries
  • Prepares employee open enrollment meeting materials and presents material at employees meetings as needed
  • Demonstrates Apex Benefits values and maintains positive working relationship with team members, clients, vendors and contacts
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in benefits support role focusing on medical and ancillary insurance related product lines
  • Superior problem solving, analytical ability, attention to detail and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, with ability to meet deadlines; ability to work productively and proactively in a minimally supervised environment and follow instructions through project completion
  • Highly developed reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Conscientious, diligent work ethic
  • Professional writing and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn and interest to work toward team goals
  • Capable of maintaining confidential information
  • Literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Web navigation
  • Able to react to change positively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

Salary & Benefits

  • Annual salary of $40,000 - $50,000, based on experience plus bonus opportunities
  • Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, voluntary life, long-term disability, short-term disability, flexible savings accounts, business travel accident, paid time off, holidays, 401(k) retirement plan, wellness incentives, EAP and tuition reimbursement.
